A Message from the Executive Director
Greetings Kentuckians and friends,
Connections are the key to helping people reach their
destinations… and as your Executive Director, I am committed to
assisting all aviation ‘users’ and providers’ in making solid
connections right here in Kentucky.
The KAA’s mission is to bring together the interests
and talents of Kentucky’s people, bureaus, agencies, departments,
professionals and municipalities so that we can better utilize the
assets within our own State first.
Honestly, how many times have you met a person, never
knowing what they do for a living, and heard them say, “I work in the
service industry and I’m a pilot?” I commend these folks because
aviators have a humble way of spreading the good word about themselves
in a direct and unassuming way. Ultimately, this builds trust and
immediately makes a solid connection for our industry.
But, not all aviation providers and enthusiasts are
pilots. Thousands of people work behind the scenes to keep our airports
running and, more so, hundreds of thousands of individuals board planes
in Kentucky every year. We must diligently focus on keeping Kentucky's
aircraft in our state, as well as retain the essential elements of our
vital air transportation system.
As your Executive Director, along with the KAA Board,
we welcome pilots, providers and enthusiasts who have an interest or
affiliation with aviation to join the Kentucky Aviation Association.
Please help us continue to lead our state in building a healthy, viable
and lucrative network for the growth of aviation in Kentucky.
Happy Flying,
Carrie Trapp
